Created in 2008, the Alliance Française Malé – Maldives is the only Alliance Française and the only DELF-DALF (French language official diploma) examination center of the country. After a few years in the National Gallery of Malé, it has since 2019 relocated within the premises of LLC (Learning Language Center). It offers courses for all ages and levels from native speaker certified teachers, as well as specific programs focusing on french for tourism and business.

The Alliance Française Malé – Maldives also organizes cultural events such as movie nights, art exhibitions and cheese tasting evenings.
