The vocation of the Alliance Française des Maldives is both to teach French and to organize cultural events that blend French and Maldivian culture. The Alliance is still in its infancy, but we’re delighted to see that Maldivians’ interest in the French language grows stronger every year.

There are many possible reasons for wanting to learn French in the Maldives: for some, it’s simply a way of improving their general culture or making their afterwork more interesting. For others, it’s linked to their studies and an interest in Europe and the international scene. Others, who work at a resort, want to be able to advance their careers by showing an interest in foreign languages. Still others have plans to immigrate to French-speaking countries in Europe, Africa or Canada, and need official certification in the French language to support their application.

Whatever your motivation, you’re welcome at the Alliance. We have a dedicated team of teachers and have received nothing but good feedback since our inception. So don’t hesitate to contact us, whether you’re a prospective student or an artist looking for a place to express yourself.
